Caitlin and Arlin ffrench released a book of knitwear and photographs in 2016 called The Darkness Fell. The work was shot entirely on film in Iceland and in studio with Brutally Beautiful Photography in Vancouver. 

Inspired by a trip to Iceland in 2014, Caitlin designed 8 new patterns with Icelandic wool. The ffrenches returned to Iceland in July 2016 and circled the island shooting the photographs with their Bronica and Rollei cameras. 

The studio shots were taken on film by Amanda Bullick of Brutally Beautiful Photography. Bullock and the ffrenches have collaborated with knitwear projects for the past three years.
