Beloved Scandinavian knitwear design duo ARNE & CARLOS have designed this sock yarn to be "self-patterning"; simply knit your favourite fingering-weight sock pattern and the dye pattern of the yarn will align to evoke fairytale color combinations and delightful patterns inspired by the Norwegian municipality of Setesdal, which is known for its beautiful and unique handicrafts.

The self-patterning will work on any small-width project such as mittens, baby hats, toys, and more, keeping in mind that the patterning will only appear exactly as shown when knit to the same width as an adult sock.

ARNE & CARLOS have their own Easiest Sock in the World pattern, which is toe-up with an afterthought heel, complete with tutorial videos. For top-down socks, two well-diagrammed patterns are Basic Sock by Churchmouse (includes both fingering & DK-weight versions), or the free Rye Light by Tin Can Knits (omit the garter section, as stockinette shows off this yarn best).

Like all REGIA yarns, this sock yarn won’t felt and offers long-lasting wear and great shape retention. One 100g ball makes one pair of average-sized adult socks.
