Noro transcended their rainbow roots to bring us the cozy worsted Tennen (18st) in subtle neutral and tonal shades, and now Noro Kumo (22st) carries this delicate palette into a lighter gauge and fibre blend. An element of thick-and-thin brings the look and feel of handspun to this touchably soft and wearable Spring/Summer yarn.
Summer top patterns Mika and Rika are free with in-store or online purchase, and there are seven more Kumo designs featured in Noro Magazine 12 (pictured above). This sport/DK is so lovely and versatile that we also encourage you to use it in other patterns that will showcase its tonality and drape. We have collected our favourite patterns for substituting Noro Kumo for you on Ravelry. Urban Yarns co-owner Anina knitted the lightweight long-sleeved top Heavenly and she is in love!
Noro Kumo is the same gauge and a similar fibre content to the saturated hues of Noro Sonata (22st), and they may be substituted for each other in patterns or used in the same project. Noro Sonata is wool-free if that is desired.
