Katia Concept Silk Tweed (16st)

  • Image 1

Product Description

A sensationally chic silk and mohair blend with a rustic tweed visual effect and a soft hand.

This yarn is about the same thickness as Rowan Felted Tweed DK (22st), but it blooms and drapes so beautifully when knit extra-loose that the manufacturers set the suggested gauge at 16st. We say to try it in patterns for any gauge in the 16-22st range; just be sure to knit gauge swatches on various needle sizes until you are getting the gauge the pattern calls for.

This yarn is featured in four patterns in the hard copy pattern book Katia Concept Autumn Winter #2. Ravelry users have also used Katia Concept Silk Tweed to make beautiful versions of the Churchmouse Easy Folded Poncho (on 3.75mm & 4mm needles), the Apen Hollow hat by Andrea Mowry (on 3.75mm & 4mm needles), and the Worsted Boxy pullover by Joji Locatelli.

Please note that this yarn is available to view and purchase ONLINE ONLY, for shipping or in-store pickup. All sales are final on discounted yarns.
