In this 3 hour workshop you will learn all of the components of knitting a sock from the top down on 4 DPN's. Knitting in the round, turning of the heel, short rows, gusset and grafting of the toe will all be covered as you knit one complete mini training sock in the class. An educational "Sock Knitting" handout and a free sock pattern will be included.

Prerequisite: Knitting basics - knit and purl stitch, cast on and off, ribbing and previous use of DPN's and knitting in the round
Techniques: Knitting in the round with DPN's, ribbing, turning of the heel, gusset picking up stitches, short rows, discussion of grafting and the Kitchener stitch
Yarn: Any aran or worsted weight yarn
Supplies: 5 mm DPN's, darning needles
Yardage: Small ball of aran or worsted weight yarn
