Cast-on to an effortless new method of knitting socks, sleeves, hats and many other small-diameter in-the-round projects with addi® FlexiFlips XL. These specially designed needles have a section of flexible cord between two needle tips, much like circular needles, but the cord is only 1.6" long between two 4.25" tips, instead acting as flexible double-pointed needles (DPNs). Unlike traditional rigid DPNs, their angles can be adjusted to rest comfortably in the hand, and tips not in use can be pointed to stay out of the way.

With traditional sets of 5 rigid DPNs, stitches are distributed over a "circle" of 3-4 needles and then knit with the remaining needle. With easy to use FlexiFlips, stitches are simply distributed over 2 needles which each bend in the middle to form a circle, and then knit with the 3rd. This results in only two needle changes per row.

Featuring the same dual-tip design as the popular addi® FlipStix DPNs, the FlexiFlips XL feature both an addi® Rocket lace tip and an addi Turbo® regular tip. Simply lead with the pointier lace tip when you want precision and with the regular tip when your yarn is thicker or loosely-plied to avoid splitting. You will always have the right needle when you need it. FlexiFlips XL also make great cable needles!
